Megan Carlson 15-1's Head Coach
Megan has coached at the 15’s level at M1’s last year as well as running summer camps for M1’s for the past couple of years. Her playing experience is quite long and impressive. She played at Andover high school and was named to the State All-Tournament Team; a two-time All-State selection; she ended her three-year high school career with 1,246 kills. She is currently playing at Concordia University as the Outside Hitter. Jerry Sylvestre Assistant Coach 15-1s
Jerry has been coaching volleyball at the junior high level for 10 years. For the last four years, Jerry has coached in the Hopkins Juniors program at the 14's level. Jerry has played volleyball for over 20 years. In 2007 Jerry attended the Midwest Volleyball Instructors summer workshop and in 2009 he attended the MVI Spring Coaching Clinic. Gary Anderson 14-1's Head Coach
Gary has been coaching volleyball for many years. He is the former admistrator of Club Tonka and Hopkins Juniors/Northwinds volleyball clubs. He was the Junior Varsity assistant at Benilde St. Margaret; head coach of the Junior Varsity at Wayzata High School; head coach 14-1s at Club Tonka; assistant head coach for the 17-2s at Minnesota Select; and assistant head coach for the 18-2s at Minnesota Select. Emily Anderson Assistant Coach 14-1s
Emily comes from a volleyball-filled family. Following in her older sisters footsteps, Emily was on the Hopkins Varsity team for 4 years and was a starting right side for 3. She helped take varsity to the State Tournament for the '05 season and was captain her senior year in '06. She also played Juniors during the off season. Emily then went on to school at Iowa State University where she became a student manager for the Division I Womans Volleyball team for the '08 spring season and all of the '08-'09 school year. Emily Holmgren - Head Coach 14-2s

Mark Nelson 13-1's Head Coach
Mark is the Junior Varsity Coach for the Hopkins Royals. Prior to coming to Hopkins, Mark coached 5 years as the Junior Varsity Head Coach at Edina High School and 3 years at Mankato West. He also has 4 years coaching Junior Volleyball for Edina. Mark has been on staff at St. Mary's University coaching a competitive camp for high school girls as well as camps at Edina and Eden Prairie to name a few. Ashley Suapaia 13-1's Assistant Coach
In the 2009 – 2010 Juniors Season, Ashley was the defensive specialist coach at Northern Lights ages 13-18. Over the 2009 summer, she coached volleyball camps with the University of Minnesota and the Spike program. In years past she has coached camps with the Northern Lights program and also at various High Schools. She played for Bloomington Kennedy High School on Varsity from eighth grade through her senior year and played club ball at Northern Lights from the ages of 14-18. Ashley was awarded the 2008 Maurice Batie Award of Excellence. Kelly Skaro 13-2's Head Coach
Kelly coached our 13-2s during the 2008-2009 season. Prior to that, Kelly coached at the 18's level for M1 Juniors. She also coached summer camps for M1, Northern Lights, MVI Instructors, and Lakeville High School. Kelly was an All-State player for Lakeville High School and played club volleyball for Northern Lights and M1 Juniors. She played 4 years of collegiate volleyball at Wright State University as a DS/libero. Maggie Geske Assistant Coach 13-2's
Maggie is a 2008 graduate of Shakopee High School where she was a four-year letterwinner as well as a four-time all-conference member. Maggie was a member of 2007 Minnesota Class 3A state champion team. She was also named to the Class 3A all-state tournament team as a senior. As a Freshman in college, she played at Southwest Minnesota State for coach Terry Culhane. She has coached summer camps for the past three summers at Shakopee and coached for the Shakopee Junior Volleyball program.
